Moon

The shapes of moon seen from the earth at night shift as the moon rotates around its own and the world's axis and, together with the world, around the sun. The new moon, crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous and full moon...

The design is sketched out through lines created with tens of drawings tested on paper using the geometry of these shapes. The designer underlines the harmony of different pieces completing one another like the dark and light side of the moon.

Inspired from the silhouettes of the moon, the Moon dinnerware becomes more aesthetic and saves space with handle-free soup tureen. The plates in ellipse shape, almost a full circle, match the overall elliptical style of the design. Thus, the Moon dinnerware shows us the tiny differences in shapes playing a great role in the aesthetic sensitivity.
